INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS

ALL wildlife products require US Fish & Wildlife Service permits for INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS.

The term 'wildlife product' is applicable to all real animal bones, skulls, taxidermy, insects, live plants, insect candy or snack, seashells, or any animal in resin or jar.

These shipments are sent using a freight broker for customs clearance and we estimate that the cost of shipping most animal products internationally will be at least $250 and possibly more.

Some domestic animals such as cows, pigs and chickens, and a few other domestic animals are not considered wildlife, and do not require US Fish & Wildlife permits.

Shipping within the United States does not require Fish & Wildlife permits, but the sale or possession of certain animal products may be prohibited in some states or localities.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OF WILDLIFE PRODUCTS

                    PROTECTED UNDER THE CITES CONVENTION

What is CITES?
CITES is the Convention on International Trade in Endangered species of wild flora and fauna. It is an international agreement that trade in some species must be monitored and controlled.

Why do I need to know this?
Animal products that bear the CITES logo on our website require CITES export permits to be shipped out of the United States. This form is issued from Washington DC and can take between 60 and 90 days to process. The CITES permit and processing costs $150 in addition to the US Fish and Wildlife permit costs and the costs of shipping.

Shipping within the United States does not require CITES permits, but the sale or possession of certain animal products may be prohibited in some states or localities.
