African Little Sparrowhawk
Accipiter minulus
The African Little Sparrowhawk is, despite its small stature, a fierce predator. In addition, they are extremely secretive and live in secluded forests, away from the prying eyes of man. Catching a glimpse of one is a rare treat.
This African Little Sparrowhawk is mounted atop a dark brown perch. His broad tail-feathers are spread out behind him and his dark-spotted breast is beautifully exposed. This specimen is of exceptional quality.
