The Caracal is known as a fiercely territorial type of cat found throughout Western Asia and Africa. In addition, it is the one of the heaviest of the small cats, as well as the fastest. It has long legs and a short tail.

This Caracal has been mounted laying on its side, its hind legs casually draped over each other. Its tail is curved towards the front of its body, and its head is turned to the side – it appears to be gazing across a vast distance.
