Flower Beetle in Resin

The Flamboyant Flower Beetle, also known as the Striped Love Beetle, is a member of the scarab beetle family. Its shell has a prismatic quality, refracting ambient light to give its bright green a sort of rainbow iridescence. Some specimens also have black and white stripes on their wings. The Flower Beetle lives in the rainforests of Africa, feeding mainly on the nectar and pollen of rainforest flowers.
