The Eurasian Lynx is a medium sized cat native to European and Siberian forests. It is one of the biggest lynxes, weighing about 40 to 65 pounds. It generally has reddish fur with black spots, distinctive pointed tufts of hair at the top of their ears. The pattern of its fur varies, and many lynxes have no spots at all. They feed primarily on small mammals like rabbits, rodents or foxes, but can also hunt larger prey like wild boar and reindeer. Lynxes prefer to live and hunt in rugged forest territory where there is plenty of foliage and other hiding places for stalking prey.
