Ground Horn Bill - Bucorvus leadbeateri

The Ground Horn Bill is an exceptionally large species of bird and can weigh over 13 pounds. They are so large, in fact, that they are known to prey on mammals as large as rabbits. They are also very social, and live in packs of up to 10 members.

This Ground Horn Bill taxidermy mount is in excellent quality. It is perched on top of a custom driftwood base. This species of hornbill is characterized by black coloration and vivid red patches of bare skin on the face and throat.
