Guinea Pig
Cavia porcellus
The guinea pig is best known as a common household pet. In fact, guinea pigs are neither pigs, nor are they originally from Guinea. Rather, they are a type of rodent from the Andes, in South America.
This guinea pig is an adorable specimen. His relatively long fur is patterned with patches of black, light brown, and white. Each detail has been expertly preserved, from his tiny claws to his curved front teeth.
