Knysna Lourie (on stand)
Tauraco corythaix
The Knysna Lourie is native to Africa. These striking birds have small but strong orange beaks and their eyes are lined with bright, white feathers. Perhaps their most distinctive trait, though, is their tall, spiky crest.
The Knysna Lourie's plumage is stunning, running from bright green to indigo to magenta. This high quality specimen is mounted on an elegant black stand. Its long, thick tail feathers fan out behind it.
