Lanternfly

Our Lantern Flies are placed within a glass vial, and can therefore be preserved for years to come. Insects belonging to the Pyrops species are especially common throughout Southeast Asia. Our Lantern Flies come from Thailand.

These Lantern Flies are quite large, and most of their length is accounted for by the long, snout-like projection that protrudes from their heads. They are also highly valued for their vivid, contrasting colors.
