Magnifying Glass Pendant

This pendant is actually a miniature magnifying glass. The earliest evidence of the use of magnifying devices dates back to 424 BC when Aristophanes filled a glass globe with water. Magnifying glasses were described by Roger Bacon in 13th-century England.
