Pink Conch Heart – Strombus gigas

The Pink Conch is also commonly known as the Queen Conch. It is a species of edible sea snail and is one of the largest mollusks native to the Tropical Northwestern Atlantic, spanning the region between Bermuda and Brazil.

Pink Conches can grow up to nearly 14” in length. They are herbivorous and tend to live in sea grass beds during adulthood. Their shells serve as homes to other, smaller types of sea snails, crabs, and fish.

Evolution carries an extensive line of decorative seashells!
