Poo Paper Journal
These attractive and unusual journals are actually made from poop.
We are not kidding.
Elephants and Pandas have a diet high in tough, fibrous vegetation, much of which gets chewed up and broken down, but passes otherwise undigested right on through to the other side. Collected and washed clean, this fiber can be made easily into paper pulp. These items are a fun, weird novelty, but also help to suggest possibilities for sustainability, and a portion of the proceeds goes toward Elephant welfare efforts.
Made in Thailand, the journals have an attractively rough feel with cut-paper designs on their covers. Interior pages are made with additional Mulberry and pineapple fibers to provide a smoother surface for writing. A great gift for kids of all ages, and a real lesson in the power of recycling!
Oh... and we think you will be happy to hear that they just smell like nice paper.
