Flower Beetle in Resin – Dicranocephalus sp.

Flower Beetles are also known as flower chafers. They are a in the scarab beetle family. Many species are diurnal and visit flowers for pollen and nectar. Some species also feed on fruit. There are approximately 4,000 species of flower beetles, many of them still undescribed.

This Flower Beetle has been preserved in a block of resin. It will therefore be preserved for years to come and can be enjoyed over and over again. Our animals in resin are a favorite of school teachers.
