White-Naped Raven - Corvus albicollis

The White-Naped Raven is an extremely intelligent bird. It is easily trained by humans to perform complex motor tasks, such as collecting objects and placing them in a container. It is native to southern and eastern Africa.

This exceptionally large bird is nearly two feet long. White-Naped Ravens exhibit a thin white collar around their necks. This specimen is perched atop a piece of driftwood.
