Dinosaur Tooth - Spinosaurus

THE SCIENCE

These genuine dinosaur teeth come from Spinosaurus, or "Spine Lizard" (due to the array of spines forming a fin on its back). This dinosaur may have attained lengths of over 50 feet and was perhaps the largest of all the carnivorous dinosaurs. Its remains were first unearthed in Egypt and described by Ernst Stromer in 1915, and Spinosaurus apparently ranged far across a large portion of what is now North Africa. Spinosaurus teeth are probably the most common dinosaur teeth. This may be because they shed them continuously over the course of their lifespan like sharks.

THE STORY

Genuine dinosaur teeth are rare, but a real Spinosaurus tooth is a must-have for any fossil collection. These B-quality teeth are typical of Spinosaurus: long, conical and without any serrations. They have good enamel and are in great shape for fossils of this age, though they may show signs of rough wear or repair or have portions of sandy matrix clinging to them.

This is a natural product with natural variations. Your item will resemble the pictured example.
