Chalcanthite
Chalcanthite is one of the most sought-after minerals because of its blue-green color. It is a water-soluble sulfate that forms in mine walls in copper deposits. Chalcanthite has several alternative names, including blue stone, blue vitriol, and copper vitriol.
Chalcanthite is most often found in arid regions because of its solubility. Its name comes from the Greek words “chalkos” and “anthos”, meaning copper flower. Our Chalcanthite is grown in a lab in Poland using no dyes.
