This two-faced calf skull is one of the most peculiarly interesting specimens at the Evolution Store. The bizarrely spherical skull is a conjoined twin with one skull is divided into two snouts. It is an example of Diprosopid Parapagus, the rarest form of conjoined twins where the bodies, necks and skulls of the identical twins are entirely merged and only the individual faces remain separate. If not stillborn, calves in this condition do not live long as the deformity of the lower jaw makes feeding difficult.
