Boy of Bengal Skull (Replica)
The Boy of Bengal was a real person who was born in 1783 and died of a cobra bite at the age of four in 1787. He suffered from craniopagus parasiticus, a medical condition in which a parasitic twin head with an undeveloped body is attached to the head of a developed twin.
This Replica of the skull of the Boy of Bengal was made by joining two casts from the normal skull of a four-year-old. It has been hand-painted to give it a realistic antique finish and comes balanced on a black stand for easy display. It would make an excellent addition to any osteological or oddity collection, or a unique piece of home décor.
The Boy of Bengal's skull remains in the collection of the Hunterian Museum of the Royal College of Surgeons of London!
