Green-Backed Twin-Spot – Mandingoa nitidula

The Green-Backed Twin Spot is a type of finch. It is native to sub-Saharan Africa. Its natural habitat consists of lowland moist forests in tropical regions, but it can also be found in grasslands and shrub lands.

This Green-Backed Twin-Spot is male. Males are distinguished from females by their bright, colorful facial features. The male mating ritual consists of raising their heads and dancing on the perch next to the female.
