Golden Pheasant – Chrysolophus pictus

The Golden Pheasant is a game bird native to the mountainous areas of western China. It has also been introduced to other countries, such as the United Kingdom. It is distinguished from other birds by its exceptionally long tail, which makes up two-thirds of an adult male's length.

Golden Pheasants are best known for their golden crest and bright red body. In addition, they feature capes around their necks of alternating black and gold stripes, as well as beautiful yellow eyes.
