Italian Marble Coaster – D’Orbigny Fish 4

This durable Coaster is made in the USA using imported Botticino marble from Italy. The image that appears on the coaster is taken from an old scientific print, and is printed on the marble with waterproof colors.

Our Italian Marble Coasters are backed with cork so as not to scratch delicate surfaces. The print used to illustrate these coasters were originally made by Alcide D’Orbigny (1802-1857). He was a French naturalist who made contributions in many areas, including zoology, paleontology, and geology.
