Cleoniceras Ammonite Pair
The Science:
Cleoniceras ammonites were marine invertebrates related to octopuses, squid, and cuttlefish. As cephalopods, their ability to swim distinguished them from clams and snails. They lived in Madagascar during the Cretaceous Period, roughly 100 million years ago.
The Story:
Though now extinct, these remarkable creatures still spark our imagination here at The Evolution Store! We particularly love this pair for the natural variations within its surfaces.
