COMMON ALBATROSS BUTTERFLY - APPIAS ALBINA
THE SCIENCE:
Appias albina, known as the Common Albatross, is a species of small butterfly within the family Pieridae. It’s widely distributed across Southeast Asia, and parts of Australia. It’s a sexually dimorphic species; males are almost completely white with a relatively thin line of black along each forewing’s anterior termen, while that line is considerably thicker on, and often spans the entire perimeter of the forewings of the female. The species prefers grasslands and other “open” habitats and males within this species, like in many others, can often be found clustered in small groups.

We model our frames from solid fine ashwood, and they’re available in both a matte-black, and a natural finish.
