The Science

Black Tourmaline is a silicate mineral that grows in prismatic columns. It can form from either molten rock or hydrothermal activity. In addition to its beauty, black tourmaline is an incredibly useful material. Its pyroelectricity, or ability to heat crystal and create a temporary electric charge, lends itself to being used in x-rays, LEDs, and even hair straighteners! 

The Story

These bracelets are made from 8mm beads, which have been strung on extra-strength elastic for enhanced durability. These bracelets can be worn singly or stacked. We're only able to get these very special bracelets a few times a year, so quantities may be limited.
