The Science
Frog-legged Beetles appear in several different colors, including blue, deep green, red, and green. Their strong hind legs resemble frogs' legs (hence their name), and are used to pin down their mates. They are part of the Chrysomelidae family, also known as Leaf Beetles.
The Story:
This Frog-legged Beetle specimen is embedded in clear Lucite resin and is an excellent little decorative piece or educational display. These cute little Insect pieces are fun to collect and make great gifts for kids!
