RUBY IN FUCHSITE ORB

This fluorescent, multicolored silicate mineral comes from India. It contains pink and red crystals of ruby in a green mass of fuchsite (a variety of muscovite rich in chromium) with white quartzite and sometimes blue kyanite. The intensity of the green fuchsite depends on the amount of chromium it contains.
