Labradorite Bracelet

The Science

Labradorite is recognized for its iridescence, often referred to as labradorescence. This stunning effect occurs when light reflects and scatters off internal fractures within the mineral, specifically the layers of feldspar. As light interacts with these layers, it reflects and refracts off tiny imperfections and striations, creating the characteristic play of colors that gives labradorite its unique and mesmerizing appearance. The intensity and range of colors can vary depending on the angle of light and the viewer's perspective, enhancing its visual allure.

The Story

These labradorite bracelets are made from 8mm beads, which have been strung on extra-strength elastic for enhanced durability. These bracelets can be worn singly or stacked. We're only able to get these very special bracelets a few times a year, so quantities may be limited.
