Picture Sandstone Coaster Set

These handsome coasters have been cut from slabs of Picture Sandstone, a remarkable material originating at the border of Arizona and Utah, USA. Dating from some 120 million years ago, the sandstone is swirled with stripes of iron oxides, and when cut reveals decorative patterns resembling remarkable landscapes and vistas.

Backed with cork to protect your tabletop, the sandstone is quite stable and absorbs water, so it functions very well as a coaster. We also sell many other fantastic pieces made from this material!
