Commonly referred to as the Queen Conch, this large sea snail is a marine gastropod mollusk belonging to the family Strombidae. The Queen Conch is herbivorous, often scavenging for decaying plant material in seagrass beds.
The Story
Queen conches are primarily found within the Caribbean and West Indies. This shell has been cut to expose the pink-colored spiral shape within its center.
