The Science

Tiger's eye is known as a chatoyant gemstone - meaning that its reflective properties mimic the visual illusion found in a cat's eye. It is a metamorphic rock, meaning that it is created by pressure exerted by the movements of tectonic plates. The tiger's eye used for these bracelets is found in China. In many cultures, tiger's eye is a crystal that is thought to ward off the evil eye. The yellow-colored bracelets are made with natural tiger's eye, and the multi-colored bracelets are made with tiger's eye that has been heat-treated. Neither stone has been treated with nitric acid, which is sometimes used to brighten dull-colored specimens.

The Story

These tiger's eye bracelets are made from 12mm beads, which have been strung on extra-strength elastic for enhanced durability. These bracelets can be worn singly or stacked. We're only able to get these very special bracelets a few times a year, so quantities may be limited.
