THE SCIENCE:

The Correlated History of Earth is an educational poster showing the 4.5 billion years of earth's history. Each column represents a timeline from ancient (at the bottom) to recent (at the top) times. Plate tectonic maps, mountain building events (orogenies), major volcanic episodes, glacial epochs, all known craters from asteroid and comet impacts are shown, as are more than 100 classic fossil localities from around the world, fossil ranges of plants, invertebrate and vertebrate lifeforms, and major extinction events. Also depicted on the chart are the Cambrian "explosion" of animal phyla and the juxtaposition of reptiles and mammals across the Cretaceous/Tertiary (K/T) boundary.

THE STORY:

A striking visual representation of the Earth's history and a valuable reference tool. Comes laminated for years of use. At over 3' tall, it is large to enough to clearly display all the fascinating details it presents. Printed in the USA and designed by the Worldwide Museum of Natural History.

So much information on one giant laminated poster will keep you and other viewers busy for hours. My kids find it fascinating and study it all the time. Nice quality print and lamination for those that are wondering.

    A Must-Have Tool for Reference!

Posted by Diane Warger on Aug 5th 2021

Science books are so interesting, but it can be a challenge to recall all of their information correctly. This poster is an amazing source of information. In fact, there is so much packed into it I can't imagine how long or how many people it took to put it all together in one neat package. Well done!

    Concise and fascinating!

I saw this first at a dinosaur and fossil museum near Bogota, Colombia, and fell instantly in love with it. I bought it for my brother for the holidays-- we both have degrees in biology and chemistry and adore having such a great representation of scientific history on the wall. The poster quality was top-notch. Highly-recommended succinct, accurate, and readily-accessible educational material for students!

    Great product!

I saw this poster at a museum that I volunteered at, and took a picture of it so that I would be able to find it again. I am a graduate student in evolutionary anthropology and paleontology, and this is such an incredible resource. This is an amazing, informative poster and the quality is fantastic. Fast shipping and a totally fair price. Thanks so much!

    AMAZING!

Gorgeous poster, it is laminated, comes shipped in rolled tube. Extremely detailed in regards to time scale, geology & evolution, a lot of work was put into this by the Worldwide Museum of Natural History. It is easy to read and understand, great for beginner scientists & advanced learners. I just wish the website would put which edition we are ordering to make customer's aware of when it is updated with new information.

    Excellent Resource

Posted by Jonathan J Russell on Mar 12th 2020

I've been teaching earth science and geology for two decades and this is a great time scale. It has paleogeography, first appearance of major plant/animal/fungi groups, geomagnetic reversals, extinction events, etc. Lots of great info.

Must have for a learning child

Posted by ed on Dec 16th 2019

This is a great way for a child to see the interwoven circumstances of evolution throughout history. Leave it hung up in their room and throughout the years they will find new connections and understand more. It's a lot of info. Years worth of knowledge.
