White Angled-Sulphur Butterfly - Anteos clorinde
The Science
The White Angled-Sulphur (Anteos clorinde) is native to Peru. "Sulphur" butterflies are named after the bright yellow mineral. The underside of this species' wings are the palest green and the strongly pronounced veins resemble a leaf, allowing it to camouflage itself among the surrounding foliage.
