FRAMED JAVA PIPISTRELLE BAT - PIPISTRELLUS JAVANICUS

THE SCIENCE

The Java pipistrelle, Pipistrellus javanicus, is a species of bat found in South and Southeast Asia that favors human habitations. This genus of bats derives its name from the Italian word pipistrello, which itself is derived from the Latin word vespertilio, which means "bird of evening, bat". They are distinguished from other bats by their weak, fluttery flight reminiscent of a butterfly.

THE STORY

These Java pipistrelle bats have been expertly preserved! They have been mounted in black frames with white backgrounds, and can be mounted on the wall. Each specimen has been hand-selected by our buying team to ensure that your bat is of the highest quality.
