SPOTTED FLOWER BEETLE - STEPHANORRHINA GUTTATA
Stephanorrhina guttata, known as both the Spotted Flower beetle and the Mistletoe beetle, is a colorful species of beetle in the Scarabaeidae family. It’s found primarily throughout Cameroon and Nigeria, but has also been spotted in other surrounding countries in Central Africa. Members of this species typically reach between 1 and 1.2 inches in length. These beetles are a brilliant, metallic green and red with whitish spots; the Xmas-themed coloration earns them the latter common name.
It doesn’t have to be Xmas season for you to add one of these beautiful beetles to your collection! Our all-natural, intact specimens (no fake parts here!) are all of first-rate quality, delicately prepared, mounted, and framed with double-glass glazing in our very own fabrication studio in Upstate New York. We model our frames from solid fine ashwood, and they’re available in both a matte-black, and a natural finish.
Our framed insects are made-to-order. Please allow up to two weeks for your order to be completed. If you need your order sooner than this, please contact us at 212-343-1114 x401 or email@example.com and we will do our best to accommodate you!
